I guess I worded that wrong lol. First trip out of grand isle...and first for me, some of my friends I'm going out with have been going out of there for a while. I was just wondering about some spots that may be different than they have gone. I usualy go out of Dulac 40-50 miles.

No joke i just took my new to me world cat out this past weekend and after moving to four or five spots during the day the port engine developed an electrical issue and wouldn't start. Power trim works but hit the key and nothing after the beep. Proceeded to idle across lake pelto at 7 mph and got caught in a nasty storm. With all the wave action i hit the key again for the hell of it and magically the damn suzuki started. Going to chase the problem this afternoon. You just never know what to expect from a new to you boat. Here's hoping it is just a loose connection and not a bad key switch.

Thats sucks...I have had the boat for 6 months or so and it has been out a few times and been looked over and freshened up at the mechanics alosng with a few other things. If SHTF I have a EPERB as well ill have with me.

I know the GI area gets hit hard...thats why I was wondering what places yall had to go try out just to have some other options. Not sure what we will go for...depends on the weather...but will go for what ever we can catch.

I thought I heard the weather wasnt going to be too bad this weekend...its really sunday-tuesday ill be fishing.

Honestly I would just start rig hopping within the 10 mile limit and see what is there if you are after mangrove/red snapper. Further east you head the deeper the water will get just don't get too close to Loop.

Wont have a problem running into LOOP going SE from GI, Its south of Fouchon. West Delta blocks are your safest bet. Only problem is Venice & GI crowd, but the days your going I wouldn't expect much of a crowd.

Blue water was right around WD 143 few days ago if you wanted to troll for bull dolphin or catch all the chicken you have room for. Its only about 46 miles from Caminada Pass.
