I'm leaning Freeport due to deeper water being closer.

Thoughts?

Not sure if deeper water is any closer out of Freeport but the rigs are.

I think the access is just much less hassle than galveston.......

What about deep water rigs for tuna?

Agree, but never really fooled much with Galvatraz so not really a true expert on that subject. We have always went out of Freeport. Boat stayed at Kirby. Kinda of a run to get to the jetties but it was a nice place.

There are tuna on the rigs and the occasional bill fish. A pretty good haul to Tequila and Nansen though. Most rational folks do overnighters on tuna trips.
