MASSIVE 8 1/2 Foot 6 Bore Percussion Rampart Wall Gun, 6 Bore (.92+ cal smootbore), mfg. ca. 1860-1875. This is by far the longest gun we have ever had, and an instant impressive addition to any collection. Probably manufactured somewhere in eastern Europe, this gun was designed to be used inside a fort and would be rested on a wall or rampart, hence it's name. It fired a huge .92 caliber lead ball and would have had devastating results at a very long range.

Considering the age and size of the wood stock (all one piece!)

We haven't weighed it but I would guess it's weight at around 35-40 lbs.

Fun gun to hunt with, and get plenty of laughing comments.

It's the only gun I use when we are running dogs. That thing holds a helluva pattern with #4 buckshot.
