When I'm wrong, I can admit it (Derek Ponamsky)

A year ago or so, when Sports Today first started on 104.5 (Baton Rouge), I stated on this website that I didn't care for Derek Ponamsky because all he brought to the show was recruiting info. However, the more I listened, the more I enjoyed what he had to say. Ponamsky won me over while a co-host with Charlie Hanagriff and Jimmy Ott.
For a while now, I have complained about the only morning show available to us in this area, Mike and Mike. A couple of months ago we finally started receiving AM reception for some shows on Fox Sports Radio, but I don't feel the need to tune in anymore. 104.5 added a new show to the lineup with hosts Derek Ponamsky and Jordy Culotta. While admitting that I only hear about the first 15 minutes of each day while I'm driving to work, I really enjoy their show. They have been 10X better than the previous show in that time slot. And to that, I have to say "Well done, fellas."

They really have done a great job with the show. IMO it's the best show on 104.5 now.

I really am glad DP got away from the disaster that the Lunch show turned into. Ott and his shtick have ruined that show and I like Charlie, but Ott has made that show unlistenable.

All the lunch show is, is them talking about sports bets for the week, what the lines are, lock of da week, and talking about stupid itrelevent polls on bleacher report, etc.

yeah sports today has turned into a typical BR radio show, that sucks.

right at first it was a little hard to listen to at times but in the last few weeks Culotta and the Prince has really gotten pretty good. i enjoy listening to it on the way to work.

I really like Culotta and the Prince. Thank God there is good sports radio on in the mornings now.
I don't like when Sports Today gets all betty and Vegasy...I don't really care about that part of sports. They need to stop cutting off SVP and Rusillo for that shite. But I do like Sports Today...it's just that nothing is better than SVP.

I listen on my way to work in the mornings. I really like it. I have to listen on the ESPN radio app though. If anyone has listened to what plays on 97.7 ESPN in NELA (where I live), you would understand how happy I am that I have the opportunity to listen to a pretty good LSU radio show in the mornings now.

Ott sounds like SVP compared to Ronnie Rantz and Joel Davis on that awful Monday night show. Joel Davis may be one of the dumbest human beings alive.

yeah that show is terrible, rantz is such a fricking asshat. He thinks incredibly highly of himself. I'd rather listen to a Jaguar Journal marathon than that show.....but the jaguar journal is awesome for all of the wrong reasons
