For example:
When I was young I had an irrational fear that a serial killer, or ghost, or someone was going to sneak into my room and murder me in my sleep. I got over this fear by realizing that if that were to happen there is absolutely nothing I can do to stop it, so there is no reason to get worked up about it

How did you get over yours?

I was literally dragged, against my will, on to Dueling Dragons at Islands of Adventure to get over my fear of big roller coasters

I learned to sleep with one eye open and bought guns.

Facing it.

That's how I confronted my fear of rejection.

By asking out every woman in the bar.

Convinced myself that the average dude is 3 inches and only watched lesbian porn.

My friends did the same thing to me. I was like seconds away from pissing my pants when the ride started. I ended up riding the same ride like 15 more times that day.

I don't have any typical irrational fears. I grew up in a rough neighborhood so I had a legitimate fear of break ins and stray bullets, I got over that when we moved.
