He did a fine job. He is the Associate Director of player development for LSU. He is a laid back and humble fellow. Interestingly, he said before football he wanted to be the world's best calf roper.

He was upset Auburn gave Tre Mason fifty carries in the SEC Championship game, allowing him to break his longstanding record. He had only 21.

Said that his typical day starts at six a.m. and he usually goes home around 11 at night.

Said that Miles is a really funny guy and that the press conferences are what he is really like all day long--always having fun and joking around.

Said that Coach Chavis is really serious and rarely if ever smiles or even talks. Said the other day Miles, during a coaches' meeting, was cracking jokes and laughing and Chavis looked at Vincent and said, "Why am I here?"

He said Miles and Saban are polar opposites but that he remains an admirer of Saban. Said he talks to Jimbo once a month...and he showed a bracelet on his arm for Jimbo's son who is fighting a health condition.

He said that Leonard Fournette is "me times ten" when I was in high school and that he is one of the most disciplined guys on the entire team and is the first guy out to practice and the last to leave and that he is the heart and soul of the freshman class...all the guys look up to him. He said that the first time Leonard touched the ball in practice in full pads he made a surgical cut and took it to the house for a sixty yard TD. And the kids screamed like school girls...

Justin will be a head coach one day, I surmise.

Or an A.D. if he wants it.

Either way, he is a great LSU representative and a fine Tiger.

Said he almost went to Wisconsin, but the ten degree weather was a difference maker.

Hope he's changed. I really hated him for being at Bogies every night and letting his career go to shite, at the expense of my fav team. He was so good, just couldn't stand him wasting that talent.

By "calf" did he mean "heifers outside of Reggie's at 2AM"?

In all seriousness, thanks for the post...that's some good stuff

Every saint has a past, every sinner a future. Justin is 31. He seemed 40.

this is prob the best thing you've posted on here, Warner. we've found your thing. go forth and report on booster club speeches.

My HS teammate in football and track. We won a 4x200 state relay title together in 2000. I remember him coming with me to my senior skip day and having to apologize to his mother for him skipping school. Dude was a great teammate and we had a blast back then. The best FB player on our team as a Sophomore.

I had the opportunity to work with him for awhile a few years back. Dude is a class act and great representative for LSU. He's got a fun, laid back attitude but is a hard worker and always striving to help others too.
