The culture of college football has changed

Heisman posing, excessive celebrating, taunting your opponent during a game, calling-out your opponent before a game, etc. are components of the culture of college football that are never going away. Once upon a time, the consensus would've been that these are examples of poor sportsmanship. Such is no longer the case.

It's just the way it is.
Kids being told they are amazing since they were 10 years old. Wined and dined all over the country by middle aged men kissing their asses.
They see what happens every week on tv in all sports, and it just perpetuates itself.
I don't really call it poor sportsmanship as much as lack of humility.
What they don't realize is that except for the very few, the fall is very hard.

Celebrating was good until they said it wasn't.

I agree, but then again, I am old.

Seriously. I mean do you even watch football? People have been doing the heismen pose as a celebration for 20+ years.

Its all part of the overall cultural de-evolution. It almost like parents don't teach manners anymore....everything is learned from reality TV.

Mills should have been flagged during the Wisconsin game.

This is inscribed on a 6000 year old Egyptian Tomb:
quote:
"We live in a decaying age. Young people no longer respect their parents. They are rude and impatient. They frequently inhabit taverns and have no self control."

Either your not old enough to remember much football or you are so old you're senile and forgot. This shite has been around for decades.
