We know Lewis can match up on Jones. Jones will get his yards, but Lewis can do a good job of limiting him.

Robinson will likely be on White. Robinson has the athleticism to keep up with White at this stage of his career. Again, he'll get his yards. Probably will do a good job sitting in the zone.

Then it's White and Vaccaro matched up on Douglas. Douglas is a pretty good #3 WR. He's actually the guy that hurt us the most in the season opener last year. Jenkins kept drawing the coverage against him while Vaccaro was on Gonzo a lot.

Now that Gonzo is gone, I'm pretty sure a linebacker or one of the safeties can do a decent job against Trolololololol.

You also got Hester, but he's never really done much as a WR.

With their line the way it is, and reading that their run blocking is still a work in progress, I see them doing a lot of quick passing, slant, hitches, screens etc. I'm not sure they want to test our safeties anyway. The focus will most likely be on Robinson, White and the linebackers.

Who do thy have to matchup with Graham?

I know Cooks is a rookie, but he'll still see a lot of snaps, and I believe he'll be taking most of his snaps out of the slot, and be a serious YAC risk. You also have Morgan who can stretch the field vertically, putting stress on their safeties.

Then you have Colston and Toon. I know a lot of you are down on Toon, but even though he hasn't shown big play ability in games, I've still seen him run good routes and show sure hands this pre-season. These two still present matchup problems in terms of height. Atlanta's secondary is pretty short. A lot of these guys are from 5'9-5'11. Trufant is the lone corner at 6'0. Their other starting corner is 5'10.

I think they'll need to blitz in order to generate a pass rush, but if they do, it could get ugly. The pressure will need to come from the middle. That's really the only way you can get Brees off. If they do start bringing pressure up the middle, we can counter with screens out to Cooks, or quick hot routes.

The running game might be slow going at first. They did beef up front, but I think we had the line to have success ultimately.

I just don't see this as a good matchup for the Falcons at all.

This all makes sense to me, but I have an uneasy feeling this one will end just like last years opener did, with us sweating the last play. It's just the nature of the rivalry.

I think Payton needs to be on the lookout for a lot of tricky shite. smith needs this one to save his bacon, he's pulling out all the stops.

I really think the only reason the season opener was as close was because of o-line play. We were very one dimensional to start the season, and they were getting pressure.

I'm pretty confident in our o-line now, and I think we'll roll.

Hope so. Division games always stress me out. I think some folks on this board are getting way ahead of themselves with the number one seed talk. How 'bout we win the division first?

I think we'll be able to get pressure with 4, or even 3 and then opt for coverage. I'm ready.

Been quiet on a lot of the Smith hate. He's a close friend of my dad's and he helped me a lot with training to be a LB in high school during the summers. I can tell you emphatically he's a fantastic coach; he's not the one to get up in your face, or rally you with a half-time speech, but he's a great coach in the NFL. He expects players to be professionals and want to win as much as he does - but I think Atlanta has a bunch of character issues in their ranks. New Orleans, for the most part, appears to pay heavy attention to the personality of a player before they lunge for them. Other than Julio Jones, a lot of their picks have been abysmal. I think Smitty is just getting a lot of the heat for Dimitroff's follies. Part of me wants the Falcons to fail, part of me sympathizes with him as a coach.
