Will the 2015 class be one of our weakest in years?

I guess these things are cyclical and it has a lot to do with our instate crop.

We will know when we fill the remaining 10 slots. It's still early in the game for LSU. I think the class will be top 10; 2016 being top 5.

yeah it will be super weak with a top 3 player in it.

While i agree with mocking the OP, acting like one top 3 player makes a class is silly.

Weak? This class is anything but weak
The 2012 class was considered weak when it finished ranked 14th but looking back that was a very good class.

I guess weak is a bad choice of words but it will pale in comparison to the last couple years.

will not be a weak class. tolliver, tuehema, lewis, guice, brossette etc. will complement the 2014 class very well. we need to add Johnson and tillery. then this will be a really good class.

I promise you it won't

It will be weaker than last year but still pretty strong. Honestly, in the Miles era, our lower ranked classes have been better in the end than the higher ranked ones for the most part.
I think our class will end up pretty good on signing day.
QB- will be weak rankings wise unless we take another or McMillan gets a huge boost. I admit to not being sold on him yet
RB- if all 3 stick, its probably the best in the country. Even if Brossette bolts(I kind of expect it honestly) its still outstanding.
WR-with Jazz already in, its all about the finish. Land Tyron and most are happy but land Strickland, Charlotte or both to go with Jazz and Tyron and we are talking an outstanding group
TE-Mouton technically counts I suppose but I think we need a true TE in the class. Issue is other than Clarington, we don't really have good options. I don't count Shipley
OL-good so far but its all about the finish. I think we land Tillery and add 1 more and make this a very good group even if the rankings don't say much
DE-could be good or terrible depending on how it finishes. Washington could bolt and we could miss on our top targets.
DT- a bust unless we pull a shocker
LB- looking like a bust but there's still time
DB-combined them because most of ours are interchangeable. Land the 2 instate kids(Raymond and Jackson) and add a top S and its right there with the best in the country.

No this class is already stacked.

Tyron
Tillery
Raymond
Jackson
and 6 solid with 2 maybe 3 of those surprises. In the end we always close strong.

it wont once you stop comparing it to the 14 to class
Posted on 9/5/14 at 2:52 pm to mattgr1983
We've had comparable classes without a top 3 player in recent years, so this one is pretty ok. Not to mention that we have guys like Brossette on board who go out, kill, and get dropped in the rankings for no reason.

thanks to FSU being good again, Clemson with the last 3 years, USCe with the last 3 years, Meyer at Ohio St, UF like it always is, USC's sanctions ending, Franklin at Penn State, Sumlin at TAMU, Auburn back on a high level, Butch putting in work at Tennessee, UGA taking control of their state, and MSU actually getting good Mississippi kids to come there, it's going to be even harder to get into the top 10.
I mean UCLA and Arizona is all down in Louisiana trying to pluck prospects as well as Florida schools, TAMU, Clemson, etc. Gotta step our game up. Can't be stagnant as more teams are getting better coaches, who can recruit their asses off.
Saying all that, we might make the top 10, maybe right outside of it.

Ridiculous after having the number 1 player and top 4 OL commit so early.

Look at the average rankings on 247 and composite. Not a lot of difference between the two. Nor does it really matter. At this level of talent, any one of these guys can develop into an amazing starter for us.
