Just moved up in May. Looking for the place in town to watch games this season. Anyone have any insight?

Sidenote: the LSU Alumni website for the Chicago (lsuchicageaux.come) is def in Asian. Did someone forget to pay the bill?

If you have a TV, you can watch it in your house, like I would.
ETA: Chi-Town crazy bruh, be vigilant.

i watched a game at the Alumni Bar. IDK which one it was but it was the same as the Main Blackhawks bar. It got rowdy.

There are about 40 or 50 official Blackhawks bars in the city.

I know that Blue Bayou on Southport used to be an LSU bar. I think Standard is the new place, or another place. Saturdays in the fall are awesome in Chicago. Every school has a bar filled with alumni, so you can experience a lot of different fan bases for multiple games all very close together. Good times, leads to drunk.

One must also have cable and access to the SEC Network for this game. Which I don't. Nice try, wiener.

Last winter sucked. People spend a lot of time in the bars.

Standard-goers...thoughts on what the crowd will be like this Saturday? Crowded? Line? Meh?

I'm considering swinging down there to catch the game after watching UW at 11 at Waterhouse and MSU/scUM at 2:30 at Diag.

Standard is a really solid LSU bar, the staff wear purple and gold and nearly every tv has the game, with Hawthorne providing audio.. for better or worse.

We went for the MSU game and it was a very good crowd, but you probably could have shown up 30 minutes prior and found seating. After that it was standing room, but the waitresses were on top of it.

As far as LSU bars go, it beats the hell out of the ones in DC when I was living there.
