They give it free to new subscribers, they give it free if you re-up, and according to this board they give it free if you call in and bitch about the smallest thing.

Just wondering if anybody ever actually pays for it or if Directv thinks it attracts enough customers to justify their exclusive contract with the NFL.

You're probably the only person in the world paying for it

I'm going to buy it tomorrow. Stuck in Pittsburgh until November and have no other way to watch the Saints.

Just tell them your directv box gives you heartburn, I'm sure they'll throw it at you for free

Got it for $79 yesterday, but I got a $50 credit, $20 off my bill for a year, and HBO/Starz free for 6 months with it. It was definitely worth it.

They have to give it away. They would lose a shite ton of customers if it were not exclusive to DirecTV

When I called this year, they offered me $8 off per payment- $48 total. I told them that wasn't enough and they cancelled my package. I may call them back after this week and see what I can do- I don't mind paying for it, but not over $100 or so.

I pay for it because I'm not a DirecTV subscriber.

I wonder if there is a difference for business and residential use in terms of number of receivers being used under it.

I have never paid for Sunday Ticket, either. Pretty much have it every year.
