This new place opened up on Corporate in the strip mall next to Christian Street Furniture. They offer a good variety of refrigerated healthy options for takeout and dine-in(they have microwaves there). I had the Cuban Pork with Black Beans and the Vegetable Cassoulet. Both were pretty tasty. It's kinda pricy but all the stuff is supposed to be organic etc. Anybody else give it a run yet? And no I don't work there.

Had the pot roast, it was kind of bland but the gravy and potatoes where good and the wife had the salmon and it was delicious. You are right about being pricey but its nice to have a to go option when I do not feel like cooking.

I've been. I liked the chicken stir fry, curry chicken, turkey meatballs with brown rice noodles. The turkey meatloaf was okay. A little too mushy for me.

So you dug up this week old thread just to be an arse? There's dates on each meal. If it's too old for your weakened immune system(AIDS), don't buy it.

Sure you don't work there?

I saw the thread last week. Why start a new one?

The place has "fresh" in the title I assumed the meals weren't 5 days old

I enjoyed their sandwiches a good bit when I lived by Perkins Rowe. I personally didn't like it as much for everyday shopping though

I'm not in the food business. All of the meals I looked at were no more than 2 days old. I'm sorry about your diagnosis.

Well the guy staunchly defending them for no reason says some are at least two days old.

This got heated quickly!....... much like Fresh Market's meals when you microwave them!

Seriously though, can you heat them in the oven? I'm not a fan of the microwave at all. Why not put them in oven safe dishes like most other stores? All they talk about is freshness and wholesome foods, but you have to nuke them? It just seems like there are some inconsistencies in their logic.

Just my $0.02

Sounds like a question you need to ask them. Why are you against microwaves??

Microwaving food often dries it out

In my opinion, they dry everything out. This is because they heat food up by passing "microwaves" through (through may no be the right word) the water molecules in the food which causes the water molecule to vibrate at high speeds creating heat. It just seems to me that "fresh" market would replenish their stock more regularly than 5 days and use more traditional ways of reheating their fresh food.

Again, just my $0.02. Not trying to attack your restaurant.

Why do you like microwaves so much? Wouldn't you prefer to take another ten minutes and put the food in an oven or on the stove?

ETA : I see your buddy mett beat me to the drying out part
