Question about duck license

I thought you buy the La license like any other license and get Fed stamp from post office.
Today I told the girl to give me everything and when I left I noticed I had the Fed duck on my license but no state duck. Did something change?
Fwiw my stroke receipt says La duck for $5 vs Fed duck on my license saying $16
I'm is confused
Also, it says my duck license is only good for 45 days?

We've been able to buy Federal stamps from stores for a number of years now.

That is just a temp stamp. It is only good for 45 days. You will receive the actual stamp in the mail within the 45 days.

Better make sure Resident Duck $5.50 also shows up on your license or you aren't legal to kill ducks.
