These people are too stupid to realize they will continue to keep the story moving. If they left it alone it would go away but now ESPN is going to turn him into a victim.

NORTH TEXAS (CBS 11 NEWS) – The group American Decency says thousands of right-wing Christians will demonstrate at AT&T Stadium Sunday to protest the Dallas Cowboys signing Michael Sam to its practice squad.
Sam is the first openly gay player drafted to the NFL.
Jack Burkman heads the group which claims to have 3.62 million members in 41 states. Burkman says, “We cannot just stand idly by as Christian values and morals are trampled. We will do whatever we can to preserve family values in this country.”
Rafael McDonnell of the Resource Center, which provides services to the LGBT community, says Sam could help the Cowboys win on and off the field. “He is a talented football player, and if he can help us win, it’s a bonus that he happens to be part of the LGBT community. It shines a light about how difficult it is to be open and out at your job.”
Some callers to 105.3 The Fan made verbal tackles against Sam. One caller said, “I don’t want my kids looking up to me and say Daddy, what does that mean that he’s gay?” But other fans say with the Cowboy?’s weak defense, they may need Michael Sam’s strengths. “If he can use the speed to get around the corner and get to the quarterback, hey, that’s all we need.”
These people are too stupid to realize they will continue to keep the story moving. If they left it alone it would go away but now ESPN is going to turn him into a victim.

Nope.....he was always going to be a victim and the story would never go away.....either ESPN, The View, LGBT, Ellen Degenerate, or something else would keep this on page 1.

My guess is that this group is far more concerned with their own fundraising abilities than anything else.

They'll probably have to get in line behind Cowboys fans.

I can't help but think Jerry Jones signed Sam to get the media on his side after the pics of the ole geezer squeezing a young girl's tits came out.

It's their right to protest. Same as a gay/lesbian group would be protesting if they thought he was cut because of his orientation.
This whole Michael Sam story should be a non issue but the media just won't let it go away. He's a borderline pro prospect and they want so bad to just come out and say the Rams cut him because he's gay. Simple fact is that he's too small to play DL and too slow to play LB.

People that worry about something as silly as this really shouldn't reproduce.

I'm guessing the thousands will actually be dozens.

Agreed. Talk about the pussification of America.

jerry jones views the dallas brand and big texas city lights and sophistication and the Texans are "checkered cloth"
but just in the few personal interactions I've had with cowboys fans, they've been of the honey boo boo variety

This.
I got text alerts and news flashes that the Rams cut him. They wanted so bad to say "It's because he's gay!"
This really should not be an issue. I don't get text alerts when other 7th round draft picks are cut, why him? Why the unequal treatment that gays so venomously fight against?

Jerry Jones says welcome to AT&T Stadium. $50 for parking, please.

So hiring a homosexual for an entry level position is "trampling Christian values and morals"?
Seriously?
No really, fricking seriously????

Don't worry. Their kind is dying off. Inbreeding this strong leads to serious birth defects.

While I see where you are coming from, I think there is some validity to the caller's point.
Watching football with your kid should involve talking about football, the players kills, sometimes the coaching strategy. I see it as a nice, non-intimidating form of father-son/daughter time. Invoking something like homosexuality into the conversation is bothersome. That's not why most people watch football.
