In the same time slot that ESPN’s “Requiem for the Big East” drew rave reviews last March — on the evening of Selection Sunday — the network is expected to show a 30 for 30 film looking back at what some still believe to be the greatest game ever played.

It. Just. Won't. Go. Away.

In all seriousness, I look forward to the show. I haven't read it yet but heard Wojo's take on it was pretty good in his book.

Aren't there already a couple dozen specials on this every March?

The difference with the ESPN one is that they will interview Jalen Rose and he will take credit for it.

Ugh. Why can't they branch out and do more stories like the escobar one?

Sucking up to the Duke fanbase = $$$$$$$$$

It's everything they do.

Plus, this is documentary making in reverse. Instead of having a good documentary topic and finding a time slot for it, they have a good time slot and they want to find an appropriate documentary for it.

One of the very few times I rooted for Kentucky. I remember that game like it was yesterday.

I mean it's obviously a game UK lost, but loved that team. It was pretty significant for them to get back to that point as well.

As said, we got revenge in '98 and things have been pretty decent since. I'll still always hate Laettner for stomping on Aminu Timberlake though.

ETA: It's all in good fun these days anyway.

It will be called "ESPN's 30 for 30 Presents: 20 for 20".

Well, Kentucky fans loved the team...were closer to it and so I suppose you can see some silver lining.

I'm not even a Kentucky fan, but watched that game and died a little that day.

Even I can't watch that replay...Kentucky deserved to win that damn game!!!!!

Its very close for me... But in 1974 NC St. Played Maryland for the ACC title and it was an epic 104-101 NC St. Win....

Had '98 not happened I'd probably be a lot more bitter about it. God bless Scott Padgett.

If they are going to show the Laettner shot to win, they need to also show Sean Woods shot right before that, and for added measure Laettner's stomp on Aminu Timberlake which should have gotten him ejected. Yeah, I'm still mad.
