Obviously his ball security was fine but I wasn't really impressed with his returns. Thoughts?
Do we see someone who is more of a threat to return the ball this week?

He looked pretty good to me. Can't expect him to break a 70 yarder every time he touches the ball.

I think he'll be fine when we face an actual punter.

Give him time
the main thing is he fielded punts for the first time in game conditions, ball security comes first

He didn't really have a chance to do very much because Wisconsin was doing that rugby style kick and just bouncing it up the field. What the hell are you talking about?

Not enough information. Most punts weren't returnable. Bad decision to dive on the rolling punt with a bunch of Wisconsin players around it, though. Fortunately no harm done.

on the previous punt he let it roll and the coaches ran up to him and appeared to tell him not to let that happen. i think the "jumping on the ball" was the result of this

Bad decision but I can understand it. On the previous punt the guy hit one of those low rugby punts that rolled for 30 yards or more. He seemed determined not to let that happen again so he fielded the next one even though it would have rolled dead in a few yards. Good learning experience for him.

On another punt he almost made the first guy miss and had a big gain if he breaks that tackle. He's doing OK so far.

Yeah, the coaches body language after he jumped on it indicated that's what they wanted him to do. Maybe he thought it touched one of our guys?

What? That was some aggressive honey badger stuff. Les was saying "great job" after that.

And Miles told him "good job" when he came off the field.

If he ever pulls that maneuver again, he should have all of his return privileges revoked

Punters style and Wisconsin having a disciplined cover team had more to do with this. We got spoiled with PP7 and HB. Not that often you get returners like them.

Think it had more to do with being behind in the 4th and letting the clock run for another 10 to 15 seconds.

I thought he looked pretty explosive and almost broke two for touchdowns.
