I agree about the play calling.. It's like 2012 all over again.. Obvious runs on 1st and second, then obvious passing on 3rd and long. I mean... how hard is that to stop? I was calling the plays before they were snapped at the game based on formations.. If I can do this, what do you think a defensive coordinator can do? I disagree about Fournette, he had plenty of carries and didn't manage much. Although Jennings looked terrible and couldn't complete a simple screen pass... we only saw Harris for one series.. It's still too early to freak out.. NOT TO mention the series where we ran the FREAKING TOSS DIVE two plays in a row... I just hope by the state game they get a little more creative with the play calling, bubble screens, actually passing on first down, deep routes behind the secondary would be nice also. This team and the coaches have a long way to go.

Fournette had about 4.5 yds per carry, most on the team until the -11 yard toss.

What was Jennings? 4-14 in the first half?

My bad, meant 2012, as far as play calling predictability goes

Hah, I guess you believe running the ball on first and second, then trying to pass on third is unpredictable. Just like you probably believe DJ welter is a great MLB. You've got a lot to learn

I usually ignore stupidity but you have excelled at that art brilliantly. The "arse in the hat" is ridiculous, too. I believe it is you that has a lot to learn. Congratulations.

I hate to agree with him, but in the first half we were very predictable when it came to offense. A lot of 1st down run, 2nd down run, 3rd down(around 3rd and 5-7 yards) pass.

Almost seemed any time Fournette came into the game he was the key player for the defense to watch. And almost every time, he got the football. Just imaging where the Wisconsin Defense would have been if we had play actioned to Fournette and threw down field.

The drive where we ran the ball down their defense came after a very pass happy offense. They couldn't stop our passing game so they went from their 3-4 to a nickel. They stayed in the nickel while we ran the ball at them.

This offense has the ability to be very explosive with all the skill players we have with a veteran offensive line. Just have to see it get a chance now.

I think the original game plan was based on the Iowa game plan. Tiger coaches thought Badger defense would be worse than the Iowa defense(hell who didn't, entire front 7 departed from a D that wasn't as good as Iowa was last year on D). Get the new QBs a win and get them to 2 cupcakes. I think the coaches also thought that Badger O would be much better than the Iowa O, and it was with a powerful OL and a great back.

I'm giving coaches a pass on this, and they adjusted well once we got 17 points behind. I'm also giving Badger D coaches super credit for a great game plan that totally confused our blockers.

However Anderson seemed to want to force the pass and be balanced. Gordon carries in 2nd half were puzzling and they kept throwing long and intermediate passes almost hoping to get lucky one time. Even the announcers quickly figured out the Badger WRs were totally mis matched against our DBs. Chavis realized two things, we cannot stop their running game in base, and they cannot complete any passes and adjusted.

Cam adjusted as well, TEs cannot catch or fumble when they do, and screen passes look horrible. We cannot run. We don't have a choice but to challenge them deep at this point. It worked and opened the run game as well.

My problem with Les Miles's offense is that he often seems more concerned with imposing his will than moving the ball. He'll crowd his own attack with lots of blockers and their defensive counterparts, thus sacrificing space and maneuverability. I keep wishing for the day a light comes on... that deception and unpredictability work EVEN BETTER with a talent advantage.

Wish I could downvote twice . . . once for the stupid post inadvertently addressing 2 different OC's, and again for the edit of 2011 to 2012.

Fail!

Explain to me what is "stupidity" all statements on play calling are extremely accurate, you must not be watching the same game I watched.

You made my point for me, I thought we finally had a better OC, then they pulled the same run on 1st and second pass on third toss dive BS we did when we had crowton, which proves that's it's all miles
