Direct TV and Viacom/Raycom didn't reach an agreement...

You may notice that WAFB has been dropped for Direct subscribers. I did hate Cox, but I rarely had issues like this. Direct TV seems as money hungry as they come.

Had direct TV years ago and the same thing happened. I have charter , not crazy about the service/ price but I'll never go back to Direct....got to have my local channels

Rabbit ears is the answer. I have a roof top antenna hooked up to my Directv box and get all the local channels both OTA and Satellite. I get several OTA channels Directv doesn't carry. OTA channels show up in guide and record to my DVR like any other Sat. channel.

Viacom and Cox fought like 2 years ago, and the channel was off the air for a week or so. Maybe the problem is Viacom.

Raycom, not Viacom, and they do this to all providers, not just Directv.

The fact that they are asking anything is sort of the problem. They are free broadcast channels

I called and got $15 off per month. They wouldn't give me Sunday ticket or Redzone, though. I tried.

Call back and get to the cancellation department. The first rep can't give you anything.
