Football Final 4 - 1st Edition

The 1st prediciton that I have seen for the College Football Playoffs is:
1. Georgia vs 4. Southern Cal
2. Michigan State vs 3. Florida State
Obviously WAY early, but what do you think?

I think Georgia wins that if they played this week and next.

USC was my "sleeper" from the get go. The PAC -12 is tough, but the Trojans have talent.
UGA - how good is Clemson really? I just don't trust UGA in the long run.
FSU - Certainly could slip up somewhere (ND, UF), but just don't see them not winning the ACC
MSU - the best bet from the Big 10, but how good is that conf in the end?

2. Bama v. 3. USC

The UGA game was closer than the final score indicated. Richt was classless in running up the score in garbage time.

Richt ran the ball in the 4th quarter and they had 2 long runs for TDs. He did not "run up the score".

I guess it can be fun to speculate, but waaaay too soon even for speculation...hell, nothing has happened yet. I thought it was embarrassing that espn even let May and Herbie do a "projection" in Week1

They had some break away runs is the reason the score ended being what it was

The SEC west will be brutal this year. I am not sure any west team will make it simply because of the competition. If UF turns out to be mediocre then UGA has a real shot

Right there.
There shouldn't even be rankings until half way through the season. Too early to tell anything.
