Last night they could neither block, nor catch.

They did run good routes, though.

Gotta be among the greatest disappointments of the game. Considering how highly recruited these guys are, should we not have at least one guy play passably?

Is it bad coaching/prep?

I am seriously asking. It amazes me how mediocre to bad that position has been the past couple years considering the talent.

Yeah...smith would be a beast in different offenses.

They're just not involved enough, other than blocking.

People need to pump the breaks on smith until he learns how to make even the easy catches. He had a huge drop early in the game and was nonexistent after that. I'm higher on Gordon just because he can at least block with some receiving skills

Why can't the Te's practice with the receivers? I know they need to block...but I don't know how the TE coach works.

I know of at least 3 passes to the TE's. was probably more.

2 abysmal drops and a fumble.

DeSean may have scored if he made that catch.

Yeah, they weren't ready for prime time. If it wasn't the drops, it was missed assignments that lead to sacks/TFL....

You guys need to be patient with Smith. He's gonna be the first legit NFL prospect we've had at that position in a while. He probably had more than a few butterflies last night.
