They showed the band/crowd doing the hand motion on the TV broadcast. Were they doing that to a different song?

I think the student section started singing it by themselves but it wasn't all that loud

Acoustics were horrible in the stadium for where the band was located. I was in one of the mid level decks and could not hear anything they played. In fact, it was difficult to hear the pregame opening due to the crowd noise.

They didn't play it.
The crowd would have gone ape shite of they did around time of 4th qtr comeback. I told my buddy "this would be a perfect time for the band to bust out w Neck".

My guess is that the leadership did not want the crowd shouting STTDB on prime time national network television. Just a guess though.
