What is the LSU athletic policy on suspensions for use of drugs?

Do we have a bigger problem with this than most other programs, or does it just seem that way?

I don't smoke but could not care less if players smoke. If even the did it every day. They could smoke on the sidelines and it wouldn't bother me.
Not sure why we have such a stringent policy on something kids like. Alcohol is worse or just as bad, and it's celebrated.

Some programs only administer the tests required by the NCAA. It is my understanding that LSU administers test above and beyond that.

Yes, let's Blame pot and not the bullshite rules.
I mean, the kids could do acid 1-3 days before their drug test and pass but smoke a L and have a month to avoid testing.
Kinda ridiculous and the NCAA, NFL, NBA, ect (Gov) are just too embarrassed to come out and say they fricked up and they were wrong.

I have my own views of marijuana. I don't expect anyone here to care about them anymore than I care about theirs, but these guys know the consequences and they do it anyway. That's a problem, regardless of anyone's personal feelings about cannabis.

Yep. And regardless of everyone's views on weed, its a rule and its continually being broken, hence the suspensions. Most of us have to adhere to employer rules, same goes for athletes at LSU.

I'm not blaming either. I'm blaming the player. If there are rules, and you then break the rules, you should be punished. IDGAF if you think the rules are too strict/dumb/whatever. Every player on the team has to deal with the same rules.
