If you could transplant one musician into one 80's act of your choice...

...who would it be? I would have liked to have seen Doug Aldrich replace Randy Rhoads in Ozzy's band in 1982 instead of Jake E Lee. I love Jake Lee's work with Ozzy, but I think Aldrich could have come up with some fantastic material as well if given the opportunity.

I would never change my favorite 80s bands. I love 80s music.

I'll go with Drake as the lead singer of the Rolling Stones only for the purposes of Sympathy for the Devil

Not sure I can see this working, but definitely one to think about.

Musically, the Smiths were for the most part pretty bouncy and optimistic-sounding. As for Morrisey, his particular brand of depressiveness had just enough English cheekiness and gallows humor in it that it ended up serving as a pretty effective foil.

Curtis's brand, well.....not too sure about that

How about the obvious? Dave Mustaine into Metallica. I actually saw Metallica with Dave Mustaine at The Stone in SF in 1983. They were not really polished, but they were definitely different than the other rock outfits around at the time.

That's a good one and I wonder why it never happened considering both's work and connection with Flood.
