Just got back from looking at some cotton farms around Greenville Ms. It got me to thinking about all the different places in Mississippi that sell tamales. Why is this such a staple in the Delta? What is the history behind it?

Had a 2lb ribeye at Doe's Eat Place that was perfect. It put the one I had at Ruth's Chris in Huntsville to shame. They also brought us plates full of tamales.

Heavenly Tamales in Greenville...thank me later. Google Hot Tamale Trail for the history lesson.

I do not not take pictures of food in public. The group I was with if I started taking pictures of my steak I would still be catching hell.

I will take pictures at home though. Imagine this twice as big.
