Can you AirPlay WatchESPN from Ipad through Apple TV?

You can but is there a reason you can't use the watchESPN app that is on the Apple TV?

I'm not sure why you wouldn't just use the WatchESPN app on your Ipad or the one that's on AppleTV??

If it wasn't your Apple TV and you didn't want to share your credentials would be a reason one might favor this setup.

he might have jailbroken the appletv and can't get the SEC network update on the ESPN app. i'll probably run into this at some point in the season, too.
