Anybody ever use or look through one? It looks to be a decent optic at a good price point, only thing I worry about is the reticle. I'm not sure if I'll like it.

It's the ACSS reticle correct? (can't go to that site at work)

Burgeman has the 1-6x PA scope with the ACSS. I have heard nothing but good things about the scopes, so the prism shouldn't be any different. All the prism means is that it's etched in (90% confidence rating in that )
Why get a prism scope when you could get a 1-4x? About the same weight but you can go down to 1x and keep a good eye box.

I currently have a 3-7x on my ar and it stays on 3x 90% of the time I shoot it. I have never felt the need to dial it down and I rarely dialed it up.

a 3x will have more FOV than a 4x. Check on the eye relief of your current scope and the PA 4x. If they are the same, go with it. I still think a 1-4x would be better because you CAN go down if you need to get quicker shots.
Take a look at the Vortex Crossfire ii 1-4x or Leupold VX-2 1-4x if you don't like the busyness of the ACSS.
If you wanted a higher power scope in fixed, I would go SWFA 6x42 mrad version.

I'm not into the "black rifle" culture, although I have nothing against it. Having said that, I'm curious as to the civilian applications for a reticle like this? Again, my intent is not to "flame" anyone---just looking for a little education.

the civilian application is shooting people while you're a civilian
