“Having injuries in the past, I was with the team for a couple years,” said the 5-foot-11, 188-pound Porter, who during stops in New Orleans, Denver and Oakland recorded 282 tackles, 10 interceptions (three returned for touchdowns) and 50 pass breakups. “Coming to a team with an injury, yeah they signed you, but you don’t know what they’re thinking and what goes on in the meeting rooms. I just tried to do what I could do and rehab, stay positive and get back.

In other injury news, cornerback Tracy Porter will likely play after recovering from a lingering hamstring injury, Gruden said. Players like linebacker Brian Orakpo (ankle) and Jordan Reed (thumb) weren’t going to play anyway.

I wish Tracy porter all the best.

I thank him for taking full advantage of a Brett Favre mistake when it counted.

Then the superbowl pick 6 was a lb act of beauty I will never forget.

I literally just got chills watching that again.

Can't help but wish a lot of people who never lived to see it would have gotten to.

There should be a statue of him on the I-10 bridge between BR and Port Allen. I should launch the kickstarter.

God bless that man.

Seriously..

To be a Louisiana native..

Get to play and start for the saints

Get to play in the superbowl

Win the superbowl, as you drive the last nail into their coffin on arguably the best QB. to play the game.

So much promise coming out of Indiana and flashed a lot in a short amount of time before injury ended his rookie year, then 2009 he was clearly a more aggressive CB

Disappointing to see he's struggling to make the nickel on a crap D

No doubt. My brother & my grandfather were huge Saints fans but sadly neither lived past 1997.

But at the same time, I can pretty much guess what their experience would have felt like because the euphoria and joy I felt of the Saints winning it all was universal amongst the faithful.
