Appel news is really encouraging. Just watched the highlights.

Carter has grown some swagger during his hot streak. Can anyone remember him strolling out of the box before? I've seen him do it a few times lately...gotta say I like him showing some emotion.

Yeah Appel seems to have turned it around in AA, hes going to the AFL so he'll still have some time to work this year before next spring.
I was reading on twitter that his fastball was topping out at 97 and his slider was pretty nasty.
ETA: Also saw that the guys on the DL (Springer, Pressley, Downs) probably won't be activated till rosters expand.
Not sure how much more we'll see Springer this year

wouldn't be surprised if they sit Springer the rest of the year. something it not right there. I think it may be a knee problem and not a quad problem.
