Long story short, this website claims that there is a whistleblower who worked at CDC that claims they altered a study dealing with the MMR & autism. Just curious if the examiner is a credible source or if this is a whole lot of nothing...

Examiner is a glorified blog platform. Short answer: no.

Quick search shows that sally colleti is just an Autism blogger that more than likely has a child with Autism. I'm not buying that she is too privy to the inside workings of the cdc. A quick search around the internet shows that these allegations are probably false and bloggers are just running with it as fact.

Their "evidence" is so weak it is laughable. Fraud is a serious issue and you need more evidence to prove it than what they have here.

That's probably the same whistleblower who claims the Ebola virus is airborne as well. I don't believe it.

My son, while not diagnosed, probably falls on the autism spectrum. He was a perfectly develping child, had about 10-15 consistent words and hit every major milestone by the time he was 18 months old. He got really sick and regressed to not speaking at all, now 3, and had some other things like poor eye contact and bad play skills that set in, those have improved though not his speach. This happened 2 weeks before he was supposed to get the MMR vaccine. He still hasn't had the shot but not for the autism reason, just hadn't gotten a chance. It's a very tough pill to swallow and many try to find something to blame. MMR is given right around the time where regression typically occurs. I think it's a coincidence personally.

The autism spectrum has increased by a much larger percentage to include many levels of cognitive ability. The anti-vaccine crowd hang their hat on these percentages without ever taking this fact into account.

I dont think you can blame anyone for being skeptical. This goes for a lot of different things in today's world. Lot of people have a lot to win or lose on both sides.

iReport does not equate with CNN.

quote:

CNN PRODUCER NOTE CNN iReport is the network’s user-generated news community. This story was initially pulled for further review after it was flagged by the community. CNN has reached out to the CDC for comment and is working to confirm the claims in this iReport.

You linked an "iReport" submitted by a brand new user. It was their first report...

So it's not "CNN" reporting anything
