Logan Mankins to Bucs.
How does this affect their run/pass game?

Tim Wright to Patriots.
Is Gronk injured? Is Wright now a pickup for a dual TE sets to be used like Hernandez was?

I don't think the wright trade has anything to do with Gronk. It has more to do with Aaron Hernandez.

Mankins graded out as the 4th best run blocking guard last season. Helps Martin

Wright is an inline TE, Gronk plays that flex TE. Potential is there for both to play at the same time.

Made me think Jerome Bettis was coming out of retirement.

Helps the Bucs interior immensely considering the hot garbage they had playing in preseason.

Wright has talent and could produce in a Hernandez like role, he is not as sudden as Hernadez was, but played WR in college, has good hands and will catch balls once he gets acclimated. Downgrades Gronk a slight bit as he presents competition for red zone targets.

That's what I'm thinking. Wonder if there's any chance he puts up Aaron Hernandez numbers?

I think this impacts the Bucs players more than the Pats. I'd give a bump to D Martin and Myers/Sefarian-Jenkins (or whatever his name is).

The pats dont run the 2 TE offense anymore so anyone expecting hernandez numbers is chasing fools gold

That's hard to do when you only have 1 TE

They don't run the 2 TE offense bc they didn't have 2 true receiving TE's like they did with Gronk and Hernandez. Does Belichick see Hernandez type athleticism in Wright? It'll be something to keep an eye on.

I went ahead and picked him up to stash until week 1. I don't really expect big things but I figured he was worth it to hold onto until after week 1.

Its also hard to completely revamp your offense a week before the season starts

is gronk injured? What kind of question is that... better question is when is gronk not injured?

I dont think he's going to become viable over night. And i dont ever expect him to reach Hernandez's level.

But i doubt it takes more than a few weeks for Brady to get comfortable with him. His learning curve will be the biggest factor. Not "revamping" the offense.
