So what are the chances we run a true option with Harris or Jennings?

I know JJ tried to run it but he rarely, if ever, went straight down the line.
Could closed practices = a chance for Harris to come out and hit some option stuff?

We know they have been working on read option stuff in practice.

I think it'll be added as a wrinkle most of the time with heavier doses against Bama to attack their bigger LB's.

Triple option out of the I with the ability to throw in pitch phase.

you mean like the play Jennings scored on against Iowa? was that true enough?

Based on what I've seen...very very good.

Read-option is much safer, literally, than the option pitch. Much less likely the QB could be taken out by a head-hunting defender. With the speed on offense, read-options could be an efficient addition to Cam's play-calling IMO.

Yep. You cracked the code. This reason, and this reason only, is why Miles closes practice.

I believe that "wrinkle" you may be referring too is that jump pass they have been experimenting with in practice

Wisconsin is about as white a team defense LSU will play all year. So, if they do, it might be in this game.

If we do it will be to the short side of the field.

whatever dickey, I'm not trying to crack the fricking code.
Just wondering if any of you thought we might see a triple option play.
I agree read option is much safer as many have said.
Here's an idea go back to your "predict LF carries" threads

I am not in those
I was with you when you asked if we would run an option. Good question. You lost me when you suggested this is why Miles might be closing practice.

If you guys read some of these comments on ESPNCF, you would believe that our running game will "suck" because we have new QBs....

I absolutely think we'll run option plays, but I don't think that will be our identity with Cam.
