Using clever algorithm processing, the app makes it easy to use your phone to create tracking shots and fast, time-lapse videos that look as if they’re shot by Scorsese or Michael Mann. What was once only possible with a Steadicam or a $15,000 tracking rig is now possible on your iPhone, for free. (Instagram hopes to develop an Android version soon, but that will require changes to the camera and gyroscope APIs on Android phones.) And that’s all thanks to some clever engineering and an elegantly pared-down interaction design.

Cool. When they get it for Android, I'm all over it. I'm shooting content now in 4K with my phone. I wonder if it'll work with that resolution?

Just tested it out. Pretty fricking awesome.

I thought all cool apps came to Android at the same time they did on iOS?
I work in the tech industry and for most startups iOS is the number 1 preference for mobile apps. Android always comes next. It is almost a nice to have and can usually wait till the company/product takes off.
Forget the tech industry, there was an app made by a local government here in the Bay Area to alert visitors of dangerous beaches/surf and it came on iOS first, followed by the Android version months later.

Because iOS is easier to develop and code for due to not having vastly different hardware in thousands of phones. Android also has more skins and GUIs to have to work around as well

Another reason is that Apple has been making developer tools for over 30 years. Google has only been doing it for less than half that time.

Love this app. I mounted my phone on the dash, recorded for 15 minutes as I drove home and then saved it at 8xs. Cool as hell. The stability aspect is outstanding. It is ridiculously easy to use as well.

Apple seems to be the better OS for releasing widespread apps with a goal to turn a profit IMO.
Android has a lot of developers that make an app, put it on xda, and let other users help improve it and take in donations.
I prefer the android way, but I don't see why anyone would want to get in a pissing match over it. The more competition the better

Is that Stanford in the video? Looks a lot like LSU but with palm trees and without Middleton

Pretty cool app. I have a video running right now of the intersection outside my office. Look forward to the results.

Works really well. I'm impressed. It sure sucks down the battery on my old 4s though.
