Wisconsin has more playoff votes (2) than we do (0). That'll change soon enough.

I think there is a good chance no SEC teams make the playoffs. SEC could easily beat itself up this year leaving every team with at least 2 loses. While OU, FSU, Michigan St, and Oregon/UCLA all walk away from there conferences with 1 loss or undefeated.

Even WITH 2 losses, the SEC champion WILL PLAY in the playoffs.

2 teams are unlikely, but at least 1 is a lock.

Didn't we hear this for nearly the last 10 years of the BCS era? How'd that work out?

Wisconsin's schedule is Charmin soft. They could get pounded on Saturday and still get to the playoff, easily.

I know right. Every year was supposed to be the year the SEC "beat itself up."

SEC champ should always be included, but if every other champ of the other power 5 conferences has a better record than the SEC champ(especially if the sec champ has 1 loss form an out of conference team) Then I dont see the selection committee putting them in.

You must be blind. bama, once again has a joke of a schedule. Its not just who they play but when they play them and how many legitimate teams they play in a row.

With their easy schedule, Bias from SEC and Bias from the media ...thats an easy pick.

As CFB fans we should all be insulted by this supposed playoff system. What kind of playoff has a "f"n committee? Its a joke and we are all the punchline

Let me take a wild guess. Bama, Oregon, OU all locks? Ohio St was till Braxton went down. Those will be the popular 4 picks every preseason unless some flavor of the year team is around (i.e. FSU, Auburn, LSU, Mich St, etc.)

It was true early on in the BCS era. Just 2 SEC teams made the title game in the initial format. It was the latest format where the SEC started taking over.

The only way I don't see the SEC champ making the playoffs is if it is a surprise champ like LSU in 2001. Even then, there is almost assuredly going to be a one-loss SEC team that would make it. S. Car is a possible choice because they're in the East. Bama has to be the top choice out of the SEC. Sorry, but when you have only lost more than 1 regular season game ONE time in the last 6 years, you get the benefit of the doubt.

FSU has the easiest road, but the favorite doesn't always live up the expectations. The Pac 12 is going to be tough (I like USC as a big surprise team). MSU is now the favorite in the Big 10, but the gap isn't that huge. For me OU and Bama are the surest bets, but they're by no means "slam dunks"

Name one time a 2 loss SEC champ jumped a 1 loss power conference champ.

It's not perfect, but it's a helluva lot better than the previous systems. First it was sportswriters who just subjectively picked who they thought was the best team. Things got better with the BCS. At least we had a championship game. Still, the selection of the two participants was primarily subjective.

My question to you is in a league of 120+ unequally situation schools, how are you supposed to completely objectively select the teams who participate in the playoffs? The coaches poll was basically nothing more than a "committee". Same with the AP

WOW, I mean I understand we lost some people and we are starting a 1st year QB, but to have ZERO votes... That is insane. It has to be Les Miles and people not believing he can do it.
