Arizona LD16 Senate Race

I was researching tomorrow's vote, and came across this video of candidates State Senate in my district. It's amazing how clearly one sticks out as a career politician, and the other as a regular guy. Watch the video and you decide which is which.

I'll refrain from further comment til later.

The young guy was CLEARLY the politician. He had all the vague talking points and hand gestures down pat.

I would too. The man came across as genuine IMO.

I had the irrational desire to punch the younger guy in the face, even before he started talking.

Yea...I thought the guy's smirking revealed more about him than anything he said.

Based just on the video I'd vote for the older guy... He seems to get it.

The young guy comes off overly polished but I wouldn't go as far as phony since I know nothing about him other than this video. Also I'm sooooo tired of politicians focusing on "education". Politicians(legislating results) and unions(growing a money sucking ineffective bureaucracy) are the detriments to education.

"We need people with the background and experience."

Sounds like a French Aristocrat that doesn't think the average citizen is supposed to represent his/her peers. This guy probably went to school, got out, and immediately went to government. He's fricking 12 years old and he already smacks of political puppet.

Unfortunately, he's endorsed by Jan Brewer(strike one), Jeff Flake(Strike two), Paul Gosar(foul ball), Chamber of Commerce(Strike three).

I hope Farnsworth kicks his arse, but the money's all going to Doogie Howser... something like 8-1. Disgusting.

How does one get to be a career politician in the first place? It seems like a lucrative career track with plenty of room for advancement, even in a stagnant economy!

It's like a canned response from a pull-string doll. "Background, experience!"

You can tell he thinks we are supposed to elect leaders, not representatives. I'd much rather have a 20 year veteran milk man in office than a guy who only knows the halls of government employment. Anybody with his "background and experience" can in no way represent me.
