New signs posted at the entry to campuses in a Texas school district warns possible evil-doers that their staff is armed and “may use whatever force is necessary” to protect students.

“Please be aware that the staff at Argyle ISD (Independent School District) are armed and may use whatever force is necessary to protect our students,” the signs say.

I think this should and will be the norm in the future.

At least the nut jobs who want to shoot up the place know they will meet resistance.

No matter how heroic, if the plan is for teachers to jump in front of the gun to try and save the kids that is a poor plan.

And this isn't in the middle of nowhere Texas either.

Argyle is an upper-class suburb of DFW. It's not too far from where I work.

I'm not inherently against this, but God help the educator who misplaces a firearm around an elementary student or who has a firearm dislodged while breaking up a major fight.

That's the thing about these so-called nutjobs. They're crazy enough to go killing a bunch of random strangers that have not done anything to them, usually kids. But despite being shite house rat level crazy, they still somehow have sense enough to pick out a target where they know they'll be the only one there that's armed.

This will be great until a few of the teaches get into a pissing match and pull out the glocks.

I noticed the other day that a school near my house has a sign stating something along the lines of "no protective armor/bulletproof vests." There was no signage stating that guns were prohibited. Thought that was weird.
