As in, language classes? If that's what you meant, it would all depend on your major.

He can test out of foreign language class if he can pass a test

If your son needs the credit and he happens to be in high school now, LSU offers correspondence courses for certain classes. They could possibly have one for Spanish and your son could take it in addition to his regular high school classes.

You can take a test and if you do well enough you can test out of them. I did well enough on my Latin exam to test out of all but one class requirement.
