Living in Denver, there's really no one to get excited with about the upcoming LSU matchup and season.

People here only get hard-ons for the Broncos, rightfully so. CU-Boulder and CSU are both garbage schools for football.

So what's the vibe like in Louisiana?

You should have been at the annual SEC Picnic on Saturday. You could have gotten a bit of an indication of the season vibe.

I've been under the impression that these SEC events are cheese fests. The LSU watch parties at Brooklyn's were always so segregated when I went last year. Seems like everyone huddled around their table and didn't even say a word to other folks there.

I've also seen an LSU tent in the backyard of someone's house in my adjacent neighborhood. Would it be weird for me to knock on their door and ask if they are LSU fans?

Tons of excitement around here. I think everyone is excited to see the young Tigers come in knowing we will have them for a few years.

Vibe- those that know are pumped and know we open with a win

Those that don't are wringing hands and fretting over having to play Foster after both Jennings and Harris go down due to escalator injuries

The LSU Alumni watch at KreweBBQ

LINK /

1109 Lincoln Street, Denver CO, 80203

It's a little South of Downtown, but easily accessible via public transportation.

I only attend 2 events each year: The LSU Crawfish Boil and the SEC Picnic. I enjoy both very much as I've known most of the people attending for 25 years. I can't speak for the "view ins" as I've never attended any of them. I've had ESPN GamePlan for 15 years and I watch all of the games at my house with my neighbors, where the bathrooms are always available, the beers cost $1 each instead of $5, the Ribeyes cost $12 instead of $30, and there are NO fans of the opposing team anywhere to be seen.
