This will get ugly.

Japan just whipped Nevada who barely lost to the US Champ.

While Japan was boat-raced by South Korea almost invoking the 10-run rule.

Its LL, anything can happen. Nevada run ruled Illinois the first time they played each other, then Illinois beat them in the US final.

I've watched parts of 3 or 4 games from each side (Foreign and US). The biggest difference is fielding. The gap is amazing. On a scale of 1-10 I'd put the US teams at 3 and the foreign teams at 10.

And it's not just errors. The U.S. players don't know where to go in different situations.

Korea will win.

Nevada didn't even have their top 3 players in the starting lineup. You could tell Japan was taking it a little more serious. They were throwing their ace and Nevada was rotating in kids that hadn't pitched at all in the LLWS.

Chicago is a great story - I hope they can hang in there and hopefully win it.

that game-ending DP that Chicago turned was pretty slick, but I agree with you overall. They'd have to mash their way to the win.

I'll give it to you that the foreign kids are better defensively. They've always been more disciplined and more fundamentally sound, but the SS for Illinois is the best defensive player in the tournament hands down. The catcher for Illinois is also the best catcher in the tournament.

yeah the chicago team has been fielding really, really well. ed howard is a damn stud out there at short.

they are out of pitchers, though, so i think south korea wins pretty handily. hope not, though.

Little League is not even the best youth league. Plus those Asian teams are recruited.

They have history on their side. SK has never lost a game at the LLWS.

I did not watch the game, but clearly this is the case. Nevada was all in to win it all. They no doubt were still down about last night's outcome.. while this game I would imagine meant far more to Japan..

They've only been 3x's? And last two times were forever ago right?

Not disagreeing with you, just asking.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the international teams are all star squads. It's not like here where you have neighborhood teams everywhere
