Check your google maps or waze traffic. Just jump off at 30(tanger) if 10 west is a mess into town.

7:00. Get off on Hwy. 30 in Gonzales (which is Nicholson) and you won't have to deal with BR traffic.
ETA: at 7:00 you'll probably be early but you'll figure it out after the first day.
