Upgrading 2011 F250 audio

I decided to upgrade the audio in my 2011 F250. It has the factory navigation installed and all stock. I was thinking about installing THESE speakers, front and back. I do not plan on upgrading the tweeters or adding a subwoofer. I do have an old amp that I used to push some old Clarions in my old truck but Im not even sure if I want to wire it up to this truck.
How will these speakers sound pushed by only the head unit? Are there better options for a better price?

They will sound better but not as good as they could sound with a proper amp powering them.

Alpine
Get Infinity or Polk audio if you are going for sound quality.
My setup sounds amazing but I went cheap for my door speakers and got 4 kicker 6.5". Wish I would have went with Polk.
but here is my setup in my Silverado:
kenwood touch screen head unit
4- kicker 6.5" 3 way door speakers
2- kicker 6x9's
(ran on kicker 400w 6 channel)
2- 10" Rockford Fosgate subs
(ran on a 1000w mono Rockford Fosgate amp)

I dont plan on spending the money on buying nor installing an amp. I went with the Alpines for up front, Infinity tweeters, and Rockford for the back.
All in all, it cost me under $200 and anything would be better than these worn out POS paper speakers.

Did you do the install yet?
If you like it, I will probably copy.

Purchased all from Amazon yesterday. All was prime except the new wiring harnesses. So, it will either be Wednesday or next Saturday till I get everything plugged in.
When I get back to my computer, I'll post a link of all items purchased. The stock speakers were 4 ohm and so are the replacements too.

2011 F250 KR stock navigation unknown stock speakers
Alpine speakers for the front doors. I chose these because the great reviews and because they list for $200 on other sites. I couldn't pass up the chance to try these for 1/2 the cost.
Rockford speakers for the rear. These had great reviews and were budget friendly.
Infinity tweeters. Great reviews and good price. Truck already has a crossover built in so I got the tweeters only.
Ford wire harness no cutting of wires. Got 2 sets of these.
All in all, I'm in about $220. I do not expect amazing results but I fully expect to get my moneys worth.

That wiring harness you link says it for 1999 to 2010 Fords
You have a 2011
Is that the right harness for your truck?

I believe that the correct years should be 1999 to current F250s. I do not know that for sure though. The connectors looked identical to what I currently have (I have the passenger speaker sitting next to me). If this is not the correct harness, I will update to help others.

Thanks, ICS.
BTW, is this the truck you bought?

This is the one that I picked up last week. Found it in Texas with only 50k miles on it and in immaculate shape. Then I found out the extra day that I was being promoted and my driving would increase 10x on some days. My company pays milage at a flat rate and it will cover the diesel and oil but I'm trying to decide if this is the right truck for that

Been looking to upgrade my 2011 f150 as well. If you have the sony system upgrading speakers is all you can really do without a big hassle.
Adding an amp is a pain because the head unit doesn't have an internal amp. It sends digital signals to a separate amp, meaning you need a DSP or a new headunit to amp the speaker signals

OK, I have a 2011 also. I have about 45K on mine.
You can get 18 easy on the highway.
Truck will average 16-18 combined w/o trying.
Change the fuel filter (easy) and have the dealer check the coolant (they use a special strip).
There is a easy mod to do for wind noise around the door seals. I have extra material for this that you can have if you want it.
Solid truck, no issues.

I loved the sound system in my 2011 F150 Platinum. It didn't compare to my fully built system in my old Ram but it didn't cost nearly as much.
I wasn't really worried/thinking when I looked at the sound system in this truck. It has the navigation so it probably had a stock sub woofer too. Under the back seat I currently have some lock boxes that I really like. However, I bet the wiring for the sub woofer is still there. I am thinking about buying one used on Ebay and just hooking it back up. I should be able to keep the lock boxes on the drivers side and sub on passenger side. I meant to check earlier but forgot and already too a shower.

I just rolled over 52k on this one. Still have 2 years of warranty or 48k miles left. I have a BIL that is a diesel mechanic but hes been in NY since I bought the truck. I will get him to look it over and do compression test to see what were working with.
I was getting 20 MPG running 75 MPH on the way home from Texas, using computer not hand. My new locations are in NOLA and Laffy, but close to the interstate so Im happy. I will not be tuning nor deleting till warranty runs out. BIL has the tuner and tunes to do so and will hold it for me till then.
Fuel filters were changed along with oil before buying. They even changed the filter under the hood. I will be using Motorcraft oil and filters every 5k. Fuel filter will be changed every 10k and water separator checked/drained once a month.
The only big mod that I want to do right now is replace the front and rear springs with progressive springs. I don't tow heavy often and smooth ride is more important than ever. I am looking at getting the Carli Commuter 2.5" Series with full leafs. Stock tires are more than fine for me.
I havent actually noticed that wind noise is present. I will pay attention and look into it. If I do decide to change it, I will get back in touch.

Yeah, I've got 19-20, but I don't generally say it b/c it's kinda unbelievable. Running over 75 seems to drop it down noticeably.
5K oil changes are kinda overkill b/c the thing holds like 13 quarts or something like that. Your call, obviously.
The thing is as quiet as a bank vault at 75. Quieter than a Lexus, even.

I know that those intervals are overkill but cheap insurance. I'm doing some research on how to keep my CP3 alive now. They are $1200 new but can cost over 10k if they fail. I want to start using some kind of additive that adds lubricant to this low sulphur diesel.
I may even replace the stock CP3 at 100k miles.
