What is the liberal agenda on this. Every time I see a Dem talking on this they use ISIL. But the group itself uses ISIS.

WTF?

Is this the same kinda crap where Obama would say Usama Bin Laden instead of Osama, because it sounded too much like his own name?

The intel folks use "ISIL" and the MSM uses "ISIS". Kind of strange that Obama uses the former since he usually knows only what he sees on the evening news

"Usama" is closer to the actual pronunciation. Not sure how we ever got "Osama" in the first place.

My point about your "Liberal Agenda" went way over your head.

They're both terms to avoid saying "Islamic State."

Anyway, to respond to your question, this would have been your top hit had you googled it:

Nope! Yes fox did report it like that the day of his death to make the true pronunciation easier. They day before, they used Osama. So when the White House put out the brief that he was killed, that's when the U was used , temporarily I might add, then it was back to the O

If you have to ask what the agenda is, try and consider that maybe, just maybe, you're over thinking it.

Yes but the Islamic state speaks for no religion. Not even Islam?

Or maybe it's just easier than saying "the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" or "the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" 50 times an hour on every major news network. You're probably right though, your theory makes way more sense.

You just know if someone is using words you don't understand - its gotta be a liberal agenda!

Here's my guess:

Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant

He's probably just taking the first letters of the words that make up the name of the organization, and putting them together. This is called an "acronym". You should have learned about it in school. Would you like a review?
