Scope on shotgun, for squirrels?

Ok, so my eyes may not be quite as sharp as they used to be, and my bifocals have turned into quadfocals, but have any of y'all ever hunted with about a 4x scoped shotgun for squirrels? Everybody I asked a few years ago didn't have anything positive to say, but surely they've improved some, huh? I would think a good mount would be crucial.

Just put a cylinder choke in, that way you can hit the entire tree

I'll edit my response.
I asked a question, I wanted some serious shite, but if I ever desire baby shite diarrhea running out a diaper, I'll be sure and ask for you.

Like a 4X Red Dot Scope? I would not put one with cross hairs. As it would be harder to find the target.

looks like most of em have diamond reticle, I think designed for turkey hunting.
later in the year I have no problem when the leaves are off, course then I like the 10-22, with the scope.

Many new shotguns have screws in the receiver to put a scope on the gun. If it made it easier why not.

that's the part I ain't sure about. I would definitely, if I knew it would work & hold.

Is probably look at a 2 or 4x and just see which is better.

Then just use a pistol like a judge.

Do the 1187 or the Stoeger have screws in the receiver to mount a scope?

You need a single shot 10 gauge with a 34" barrel with a full choke, shooting 3.5" shells...

Buy a cheap shotgun scope on Ebay and try it out on the range.

22lr with scope is a great tree rat killer.

My eyes aint what they used to be either.
You have given me something to think about.
I NEVER even considered scoping a shotgun for limb chicken.
You, sir, are a genius.
