Is LSU a young team?

It continues to be said that LSU is a young team and, therefore, are expected to finish fourth or worse in the SEC west. This notion is rather ubiquitous in the media and I've seen it said on this board.
My question to the rant is whether you agree that LSU is young?
LSU is starting (or have players who have started previously... we don't know who'll actually start) upperclassman or third-year sophomores across the O line, at the running back position, at tight end, and the defensive ends, across the linebackers, and at safety. And while LSU's projected corners are both true sophomores, they took the position from two juniors.
So if only three positions groups are being filled in by "young" players, does that really make the whole team young? Wouldn't almost every college team be "young" by this definition? Or is it more like a weighted average because one of the "young" positions is at QB?

I think we are fairly young, especially at the skill spots. But we were young in 2011 too
