How bad will it get if the Republicans fail to gain the senate? How far will Obama and Holder push this country?

LINK

quote:

A recent poll by media outlets in the state showed Mr. McConnell with a two-percentage-point lead

That's not good. She has raised a lot more money that Mitch too. 11 million!

Now he has agreed to debate her. With a narrow lead, this could break him.

LINK

IMO... You don't debate somebody that you know you are going to beat. This, to me, is a sign that he has to win this debate in order to win this election.

There are 9 toss ups:
Begich(D) leads by 4

Pryor (D) down by only 2 after being down by 7 in june

Udall (D).. tied despite his LOW approval rating.

Landrieu (D) tied

Hagan (D) Tied

Then 3 open seats:

IA: Tied
Mi: The Dem is up by 4
Ga: The Rep is up by 9... they have a short debate today at 12:15.

The republicans have to gain 6. Where is it going to come from? It is my opinion, for what it's worth, that these races should not even be this close. Not if the american people are sick of what's going on.

Are you ready to admit you were wrong on Sterling keeping his team and screwing over the NBA?

GOP won't win the senate

And this time around they won't have the "tea party" to blame. The losses will be incurred by the establishment stooges just like in 2012. 8 establishment candidates lost winnable senate seats in 2012 compared to just 2 tea party candidates yet the tea party got all the blame

North Carolina, Louisiana, Alaska, Kentucky, Colorado, Michigan, all throwing establishment backed RINO stooges out there.

Imo, this is one of the most relevant subjects to be brought up on here in awhile. I'm not talking about the odds of the Dems keeping control of the Senate. Regardless of that outcome, what we all need to understand is that Obama, Holder, etc aren't going to have any constraints on them, post-election, to carry out their various agendas against America.

Yes, keeping the Senate.will make things easier for them. But regardless, this is a president who has shown the willingness to go around Congress by issuing EA's.

After the election? God help us all. We will see their true nature in full bloom.

Agreed. And if what President Obama says is right and he's able to replace two retiring Supreme Court Justices (Ginsberg & Breyer?) before his term ends, we'll continue to feel the effects of his presidency long after he's out of office.

Just like the 2012 Presidential election, the prize is there for the Republicans to take. If they don't, it's on them. History indicates this should be a relatively easy sweep for Republicans. That so many of the races are tight is indicative of the current problems within the Republican party.

This is discouraging that after all this diatribe, they are still only hanging on by a mere slight advantage. R's should be blowing them out of the water, but the candidates they are putting out there IMHO are nothing special.

Are we giving any realistic chance to the Republicans failing to take the senate, and also losing the house?

What? Majority of money coming in for Grimes is from outside Kentucky. Also, Mitch was over 5 points behind several months ago and now has erased it. Mitch has not gotten nasty yet to paint Alison as anti-coal. Mitch will win.

GOP takes senate, total gridlock occurs. Totally partisan legislation will come out of congress that will be vetoed and there won't be enough votes to overturn it.

Dems keep the senate, do nothing congress does nothing except obstruct.

Either way, nothing changes.

Republicans aren't losing the House any time soon. The districts are too heavily drawn in their favor. And that's not a criticism.

What does it matter where the money comes from? Is it not there for her to use? You can't say.. "that money doesn't count because it's outside money".

What matters is Mitch should not even be running this close at a time when Obama has his lowest rating.

Then there's Kansas.. The republican had a 17 point lead last month. Now... 4

Mitch has way more money then Alision. Does not matter how much money she raises, because Mitch has much more in the war chest. Plus, Kentucky is finding out Alision is not for the coal industry, she will be painted as that.

You seem to forget, Kentucky voters put Rand Paul in office, Grimes will get the votes in Lexington and Louisville, but she will never carry the rural areas and the much needed northern KY votes.

If the GOP loses those two after the 2012 Missouri and Indiana debacles, there is no hope.

How is the ACA rollout in Kentucky playing out in this race? Is Mitch still against it? I've read a few articles claiming its been somewhat successful in Kentucky and many formerly uninsured now have coverage.
