Algiers homeowner shoots and kills would-be home invader

The gunman ordered the couple into their home in the 1800 block of West Homestead Drive, where the couple's three young children - ages 6, 13 and 14 - were inside, police said.
At some point the husband was able to retrieve his gun, police said, and fatally shot the gunman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is why I keep both my gates locked at all times. Had someone in our backyard about a year ago and only my wife was there. And my pistol in arms reach

Good for him. He couldn't have predicted what the gunman would do and made the correct decision to protect himself and his family.
