On the radio show this morning, he stated that Valentine had been cleared by the NCAA but now the SEC offices are holding him up.

Yeah, it definitely wouldn't be the kids home state school that he was once committed to that would have tried to flag him. Especially since it's not like that same school signed a kid from Louisiana that had rampant grade risk rumors giving them motive to say "see our guy got in and theirs didn't."
Definitely not Florida.

Those are your top 3 suspects. This is going to be the law of unintended consequences for whomever did it. The reality of this is that ANY member institution can challenge a kid's entrance into an SEC school.
You wanna start doing things like this, two can play at that game. Has Willis been admitted to UF yet? If not, we can flag that one. If he's already there, that's okay too. We can start flagging every single kid.
That goes for whichever program (read: head coach) flagged or protested this. We can do this with Bama, or Ole Miss. We need to start fighting fire with fire.

this just tells me that someone is bitter and/or scared of what this kid can do. he's going to be an absolute force to have on the D-line THIS year

I think it's something new that has been implemented. After clearinghouse it is routed through SEC now. It's a formality but just another bureaucratic mess. Maybe they should have went down to Curtis when Lacy was trying to get eligible.

It's gotta be Florida. They are the only SEC school who would have knowledge of the situation. Either they have access to his transcripts and are calling BS or someone from the school is tipping them off that there is an issue.

I don't thinks it's anything more than a formality. Why would FLA interfere? They know a school could do the same to them on athletes they take from other schools.
