Pretty solid read.

quote:

“Everyone’s doubting us saying we’re a young inside,” Herron said. “We got to put our foot in the ground. Let them know we’re here, that you just can’t run up here, that we’re going to stop you.”

I sure hope they can plug up the inside. Teams ran right up the middle on us last year.

I remember him absolutely destroying a highly rated o-lineman in a one on one drill at a camp then jumping up and down saying "That's why I'm going to LSU!"

He wont be able to plug shite up in the middle for us, he is a little south of 280 right now so SEC guards will have their way with him as far as run blocking is concerned.

BUT he is a great athlete that has the ability to generate a nice pass rush from the interior on passing situations. This is where he could have an immediate impact.

Ponamsky said the other day Herron was over 300 but does knowing that make you feel any different about your statement? What matters is if you can play, the fact that he is 300 before a practice or 290 after he sweats 10lbs off doesn't matter. The coaches have a roster full of 300 lb guys and they chose him. That should be telling.

If they need a f$ t arse to plug the middle...all they have to do is put valentine there lol.

Size is not everything...actually..I predict Lewis Neal with his little self to shine this season

I know...I was trying to make a point. Davenport would've been a better example.

Exactly

You want speed not size. Valentine has speed unlike davenport

Herron can always add some weight. The kid has raw talent
