Bill Belichick: Brandon LaFell Could Carve Out Big Role With Patriots

"He’s finding different ways to contribute, whether it’s blocking, receiving, special teams. He’s done whatever we’ve asked him to do, he’s done it well, he’s gotten better at it,” Belichick said. “I think he’ll be able to carve out a role for himself here — might be a big one. I don’t know. We’ll see.”

What happened to him in Carolina?

I was on the sideline for all but one Panthers home game last season.
My observations: LaFell can still get open, just like at LSU. He was rarely Cam's first target, and, when he was thrown to, more often than not he either dropped the ball or it was an inaccurate throw. He's pretty good with the ball in his hands after the catch. Not blazing fast, but fast enough.
My feeling is he will thrive in NE with a QB who trusts him and can get him the ball accurately.

Hmmm... Tom Brady or Cam Newton throwing me the ball? I hope he shines.

Anytime blocking is brought up first in a sequence of how a WR will contribute, I'm not to optimistic.

Love me some Jo-Jo. Hope he does big things with the Pats.

Exactly. Makes me even more optimistic for LaFell.
