Im a long time ProV1x player. I'll play the Bridgestone e6 in the winter but for the most part I play ProV1x. Ive had 2 different ppl telling me that they swear by the Srixon Z-StarXV. I finally had a 3rd person mention it to me so I went ahead and got a dz. Anyone ever played this ball?

**2nd part**
Whats your current gamer and if you had to swtich what ball would you switch to?

Why not just switch to prov1 in winter?

I play provx, prov1 in winter. If is change probably the new bridgestones or nike.

Z-Star XV is very similar to a ProV1x. It's firmer than the regular Z-star and designed for swing speeds over 100 mph.

Good ball.

I use a regular ProV1 because I like the slightly softer feel when putting. I switch to V1x's, Z-Star XVs, and Penta TP5s from time to time tho.

no plans to switch any time soon. I play the Prov1x, but if I had to switch it would be to the Taylormade Lethal

i played this ball religiously for over 2 seasons and loved it

i had bought several dozen of the previous model when the current model was released and my stock has just dwindled down to nothing

i bought a few dozen of the Rife V-motion balls and I'm currently liking those but the Srixon is a great ball IMO, and you can find deals on them unlike ProV1's

I haven't compared the XV to the current prov1's, but in the past I've found them to be much more durable than the ProV1

eta: I played the yellow version mostly

I know a plus handicap that played this ball last winter, and he was raving about it.

Towel is far more important than the ball.

I just read some of the 21 page thread on this ball on golfwrx, and I'm gonna have to buy a dozen for my next round

Hardly anyone had anything negative to say about it

I've got a dozen of the XV's and a couple dozen of the older model. They seem to go long and straight with good spin. I might need to make some yardage adjustment.

Crazy. A plus handicap raving about it? Does he hit his driver about 240 yards?

I've hit it and when you get to your 7-wedges they just shoot sky high. Like freak high.

I played them today. Not my favorite ball, but they weren't bad.

They didn't hurt my distance at all. Had my longest day off the tee of the year. Maybe of my life.

I played the Duo last year with zero problems, love the ball. The Super Soft just didn't work for me. Ballooned every time and my swing speed is 112-116. I play te B330S now and it works perfectly for me.

Just ordered a new stock of B330S. Ready for them to be back in my bag (been playing found balls for the last week or so).

They are one of the longest balls out. But wedges suck with them. Specially in Texas wind.

The super soft that is.

The taylormade are the only balls that come close to prov1's.

I usually stop my Bridgestones where they hit or about a foot or two within the ball mark. SuperSofts were rolling out on me a little more than I'd like.
