Interracial couples in the U.S. never had it this bad even at the height of Jim Crow.

For those who are wondering why the bride converted to Islam, it was done out of necessity, since interfaith marriages are illegal in the "Mideast's only democracy" and Palestinians are also banned from converting to Judaism, so this is the only way two such people can get married.

The protest highlighted a rise in tensions between Jewish and Arab citizens of Israel in the past two months amid a monthlong Gaza war, the kidnap and slaying of three Israeli teens in June followed by a revenge choking and torching to death of a Palestinian teen in the Jerusalem area.
A group called Lehava, which organized the wedding demonstration, has harassed Jewish-Arab couples in the past, often citing religious grounds for their objections to intermarriage. But they have rarely protested at the site of a wedding
The groom told Israel's Channel 2 TV the protesters failed to derail the wedding or dampen its spirit. "We will dance and be merry until the sun comes up. We favor coexistence," he said.
Protesters, many of them young men wearing black shirts, denounced Malka, who was born Jewish and converted to Islam before the wedding, as a "traitor against the Jewish state," and shouted epithets of hatred toward Arabs including "death to the Arabs." They sang a song that urges, "May your village burn down."

The only real answer is more funding from the US. A full tithe, 10% of the US GDP, is necessary to appease the God of Abraham and Isaac.

So the state protected both the protesters right to protest and used police, aka state resources, to protect the wedding? You're right that's much worse than what interracial couples went through during Jim Crow.

When a Muslim woman marries a Jewish man in Gaza let me know how well received that event is. How much time do you think will elapse before the honor killing?
Why was there a member of the Netanyahu's cabinet at the wedding if there was official opposition to this wedding? As for the protesters, they were citizens of a democratic society exercising their free speech rights.

To be fair they do have a very vocal and extreme right wing in Israel. They did kind of burn a kid alive. Right, Left, Muslim, Jew, Christian extremism covers all bases.

FYI, interfaith marriage in the Palestinian territories is common. As a matter of faith, Arafats wife was a Chrisitian.

Of course not, because it wasn't necessary. Do you have any idea how many Black folks, many of them public figures, were born during Jim Crow, and are the product of mixed race marriages? If mixed raced couples had been subject to this kind of hatred in U.S., folks like Obama wouldn't be alive to today becasue their mothers wouldn't have lived long enough to conceive them.

I'm sure if they were in Gaza and he converted to Judaism, things would have been all rainbows and unicorns, right?
